New Zealand is a small country, so it's 'internet porn footprint' isn't the biggest in the world. Bentley Race is a long established (12 years online) Australian gay porn site with a real amateur slant. As well as tons of Aussie guys, there's a few New Zealand gay guys here, including Aaron Scott and JD Ryan.
Ben runs Bentley Race personally, and makes regular trips to New Zealand to meet guys and shoot. He says of Aaron Scott:
"During my quick weekend visit to New Zealand I had only planned to take a tour around Auckland. But after seeing the cute guys online there I knew I had to take my camera along. On my first day there I met Aaron Scott who had been checking out BentleyRace for some time. So I didn't have to explain much about what I wanted him to do for me on cam.
Aaron is a tall skinny 19 y/o emo looking twink who just loves getting fucked. He also proved to me that he could cum multiple times within just a few minutes! Apart from having a beautiful fat uncut cock he's also very talented. We had so much fun taking these photos and then making a video of Aaron playing with his cock in a pair of my Aussie Bums and then revealing his full fat size. At this point I was rock hard as well! After playing about and showing off his butt Aaron eventually rolled onto his back and started moaning as he pumped out a load all over his belly! Oh man I love these Kiwi twink boys!"
Another the Kiwi guys making porn at Bentley Race is JD Ryan... ben says of JD:
"A couple of weeks ago I took a weekend trip over to New Zealand to hang out with some friends and hook up with some hot guys. New Zealand has got a very large population of really good looking men. I've been there a couple of times now and found some pretty sexy men to shoot with. I'd been talking online with JD Ryan for a couple of weeks before I headed over there. He was really keen to get naked with me and make a dirty video. He was pretty nervous to begin with, but once he was completely naked he became much more comfortable. I hadn't planned to turn up in this video fucking JD, but he played with my cock some much during the photo shoot that I couldn't stop myself from jumping on the bed and fucking his arse. JD told me when the video finished that a guy in the building just a few metres away was watching us fuck on the bed. It didn't stop him from grinding on my cock until he was blowing cum. JD Ryan is a personal trainer in New Zealand and told me that it was his first time getting naked on camera, and he really enjoyed doing it. We hooked up one my time on that weekend before I headed home to Australia."

History of New Zealand Porn
The New Zealand customs service was monitoring the importing of porn into New Zealand as early as 1858, and the first censorship laws came into affect in 1892. These laws banned any material which was of "an indecent, immoral, or obscene nature" and even included advertisements relating to STDs!
It took until 1910 for the lawmakers to recognise that some adult material could have "literary, scientific or artistic merit". Even later, these exceptions were expanded to include educational, social and cultural merit as well.
In 1993, the Office of Film and Literature Classificationwas establish, and charged with enacting the laws in the Films, Videos, and Publications Act, was passed in 1993. Most of these laws are still in place today, with some amendments. (See Porn laws in New Zealand).
There seems ot be very little recorded about early New Zealand porn. But we can safely assume that wherever there is the means to record sex or naked people (either via pen, camera, or video camera) New Zealander's have been busy making porn in some fashion or another.
In 2002, there was a lot of controversy over New Zealand's so called "porn king" Steve Crow and his creation of the porn DVD 'Ripe'. Ripe follows a pregnant Nikki Devi has she "indulges herself behind the back of her workaholic husband. A complex web of affairs, desires and obsessions resulting in one thing - HOT, STEAMING SEX!". Steve Crow wanted to include footage of the baby's birth in the film, but was later blocked from filming the birth at Waikato hospital.
Some other adult porn movies (released in 2006) are New Zealand Girls Exposed and Sex Around the World New Zealand.
In recent times, Glitter Films has come to the fore with it's "quality porn films shot by a woman" style.
Kiwidolls.co.nz was a shortlived New Zealand based porn website, which featured nude photographic shoots of New Zealand models. It was operation in 2010 but has since disappeared.
Buying Porn in New Zealand
As long as you are over 18, purchasing of porn is reasonably easy in New Zealand. Many dairies (corner shops, convenience stores) and service stations sell the usual array of mainstream adult magazines, (mostly Australian, UK, and American magazines). Larger supermarkets and book store chains do not sell porn magazines, but some independent book stores do.
There are also many adult stores in New Zealand's main cities which sell both porn magazines and porn movies. Peaches and Cream has stores in all the main centres, and also offer internet shopping. Most video rental stores also hire adult DVDs.
New Zealand Internet Porn Filter
In New Zealand, the Department of Internal affairs provides an internet and website filter that ISP's can use to block websites that host child sexual abuse images. Two of New Zealand's biggest ISPs, Telecom, and Telstra Clear have implemented the filter.
At the time of launch, there was some controversy over the release of the filter, with many people concerned about the secret nature of the list of sites to be banned, and the potential for the government to block sites it does not agree with.
However, the New Zealand porn filter does not block the vast majority of porn sites. The is specifically
targeted at sites which host "child sexual abuse images", and in my vast experience of surfing for porn, I have never once been blocked by the filter! (That said, I do not surf for that type of content!)
Porn laws in New Zealand
In New Zealand, most standard pornography is legal, but 'restricted' to those over 18, but porn deemed 'objectionable' is not.
Under the Films, Videos and Publications Classification Amendment Act 2005, 'objectionable' content is described as:
"a publication...(that) describes, depicts or expresses, or otherwise deals with matters such as sex, horror, crime, cruelty or violence in such a manner that the availability of the publication is likely to be injurious to the public good."
Objectional material is completely banned. Objectional publications are those that promote or support:
The sexual exploitation of children
Sexual violence or coercion
Torture or extreme violence
Sexual conduct involving the body of a dead person
The use of urine or excrement in association with degrading or sexual conduct
When assessing publications, the Act specifies that the Office to place particular weight on the extent and degree to which, and the manner in which, publications deal with:
Violence and sexual violence
Sexual conduct with or by children
Degrading, dehumanising or demeaning conduct
Representations of a particular class of person as inherently inferior by reason of a prohibited ground of discrimination
Promotion of criminal acts
Exploitation of children's nudity
Attitudes to Porn in New Zealand
Most New Zealander's have a relaxed attitude to porn. A poll conducted by Wellington market research company UMR Research found more Kiwis thought secretly watching porn online when you're married was more "morally acceptable" than downloading copyright music or videos.
The poll asked 1,000 New Zealanders about their views on internet related moral issues, and it found that 21% of respondents felt it was acceptable for a married person to view pornography online without telling their spouse. That was higher than the 18% who thought downloading copyright music without paying was acceptable and the 13% who believed downloading copyright video was morally okay.
Nearly half of all respondents (41%) felt it was morally acceptable for a single person to view pornography online, although that proportion was much higher among male respondents (56%) than females (26%).
